The way a woman dreams of birth is what she should plan for her birth. Although plans don't always go accordingly, or they way we hope, writing down your goals and ambitions towards the birth that you desire is an extremely important way of beginning your mothering journey.
I strongly believe that labour is one of those things that should not be left until the surges begin. From as early as pre conception all the way through to the fourth trimester, your pregnancy and birth journey should be something you begin reading about and educating yourself about, now!
Every birth is bound to be different and unique and as a birth worker, doula and mother of 2, I am here to help you learn, plan and grow.
Birth Plan writing and education, can be done with me virtually, face to face or over the phone. We will discuss your birthing options and write a plan that suits the birth mother and father/support team. This can take 1.5-3 hours depending on what you want. You will receive a plan that covers your options and lists your wants and needs.
Birth is a life changing experience which often gets overlooked once baby is born and earthside. A woman not only births her baby, but she is also reborn, as a mother.
Birth is an emotional, spiritual and physical journey - it deserves to be spoken about no matter how you feel about it at the other end. A lot of women and support partners are left feeling traumatised or often unheard in times of vulnerability, especially birth, so unravelling your journey and unpacking the pieces can be a great way to heal and transition into your new world after birth.
Birth de-briefing may be a one off session with me or a series of multiple sessions - depending on your story.
I ACKNOWLEDGE THE WURUNDJERI PEOPLE, TRADITIONAL AND TRUE CUSTODIANS OF THE LAND ON WHICH I LIVE AND WORK,
AND PAY RESPECTS TO THEIR ELDERS PAST, PRESENT AND EMERGING.
